Rawther origin : more clarified version

After years of research and references, i would like to share concluded version of origin of rawther tribe.

there are many temple inscription available regarding the horse trade between central asian turks and pandian kingdom.

pandians allowed muslim turks to marry womens from pandyan territories. which formed new prosperous horse trading local community called rawthers. rawthers address their father as ata and all other relations they kept tamil traditions.

many accounts says that the newly married womans are kept their tamil name and traditions. turks never forced their relegion to their wifes. when malik kafur attacked pandian kingdom, kulashekara pandian seek help from horse trading warriors. they fought against malik kaffur to protect their mother land, and many rawthers become martyrs during the long war. there are many warrior stones and temple inscriptions found as proof of the above chronicles.

Amir Khusru (famous traveller accompanied khilji's general malik kaffur) mentioned on his writings about the rawther muslim cavalry of pandians who fight against khilji's army.

he mentioned rawthers as half muslims who practices religion of islam but having very high tamil cultural influences on their behavior and dressing.
